Self Clinching Reduced Flush Head Studs target panel bend/edge applications

Designed specifically for applications requiring stud installation close to a bend or the edge of a panel, the new range of NFHL self-clinching reduced flush head studs now available from Northern Precision , the independent market-leading single-source supplier of fastenings as well as special-purpose turned and cold-formed parts, provide strong torque resistant captivated male threads in thin panels.

Available in steel and stainless steel in M2.5-M5 thread sizes, and designed for use on 1 mm to 2.41 mm thick panels, type NFH flush head clinch studs install fully flush on the back of panels so minimal surface finishing is required after installation.

The special castellated clinch feature provides excellent torque out and push out resistance.

Full installation details, performance data and specifications are provided in the NFHL section on the Northern Precision website (http://www.npfasteners.com/nfhl.htm) and, like all self-clinching fasteners, type NFHL are installed using a parallel squeezing action from both sides of the panel.

Northern Precision debuts the LCM PRIMA INSERTER Self-Clinching Fastener installation press at the Southern Manufacturing & Electronics Show

In addition to highlighting the benefits of dealing with a sheet metal fastener supplier that, for example, maintains an in-house stock of 5,000 standard lines, provides next-day delivery and offers unrivalled applications engineering advice, Northern Precision is also using the Southern Manufacturing & Electronics Show as the UK public launch pad for the LCM Prima Inserter self-clinch sheet metal fastener installation press.
Acting as exclusive European agent Northern Precision (http://www.npfasteners.com/), the independent market-leading single-source supplier of fasteners as well as special-purpose turned and cold-formed parts, says the cost-competitive machine – which has a six tonnes rating - allows fasteners to be easily inserted into either box- or C-type workpieces and will accommodate various materials from 0.5 mm to 6 mm thick.
A range of accessories transform the machine into a flexible production aid to suit a wide range of applications.

“The LCM Prima inserter has become very popular worldwide, and has been progressively enhanced with capabilities to meet a variety of user demands in a fast and reliable way,” says Northern Precision’s Sales Director Steve Smith. “We have no doubt that the machine will prove equally as popular throughout Europe, particularly due to its adaptability and cost-effectiveness,” he says.

Northern Precision is now supplying an ‘e-quote’ email-based direct response mechanism for potential users of the LCM Prima (email sales@npfasteners.com for your copy).

Incorporating interactive links, a short video clip of the press in action and a PDF attachment that contains comprehensive details about the machine – including its price - the e-quote also illustrates how a range of accessories can be used to make the machine into a flexible production aid to suit a wide range of applications.

Accredited to BS EN ISO 9001:2000, Northern Precision supplies the NP brand of self-clinching fasteners, rivet bushes, sheet nuts, high-strength and broaching fasteners, weld nuts and studs, cage nuts and blind rivets, as well as special turned and cold-formed components to customer requirements.
