Following the success of attending exhibitions last year in Russia, Slovakia, Germany and the Czech Republic – where Sales Director Steve Smith supported distributors as well as new customers – the company is travelling to Hungexpo, the Budapest Fair Centre, in support of its Hungarian distributor, Gordius Inox Kft.
As well as providing the opportunity to illustrate to visitors the comprehensiveness of Northern Precision’s 5,000 in-stock standard line items covering most applications and materials, the exhibition will also enable Steve Smith to demonstrate the company’s latest addition to its single-source engineering expertise - the LCM Prima self-clinch fastener inserter.
On show will be the six-ton LCM Prima inserter and accessories that allow fasteners to be easily inserted into either box- or C-type workpieces, and will accommodate materials of 3 mm thick.
After Industria, the machine will be on permanent display and available for demonstration at Northern Precision’s Doncaster site, thus enabling the company to offer users a complete ‘supply and fit’ solution based around both machine recommendation and fastener supply.

HIGH STRENGTH SELF-CLINCH STUDS EXPAND NORTHERN PRECISION’S FASTENER RANGE
Northern Precision (http://www.npfasteners.com/), the independent market-leading single-source supplier of fasteners as well as special-purpose turned and cold-formed parts, has expanded its range of type NHTS high strength clinch studs, which are now available in thread sizes of M5 to M10.NHTS studs are specifically designed for applications where greater strength is required, since they offer high-performance pull out and torque out – ideal for applications such as, for example, automotive door hinges, exhaust brackets and arm rests, as well as for foot brackets used in the white goods industry.
The studs can be provided in a selection of high performance finishes to meet specific industry requirements, as well as to individual customer’s certification needs. They are also available to special order with an unthreaded lead-in section to speed up the assembly process as well as protect the first threads during assembly.

Self Clinching Reduced Flush Head Studs target panel bend/edge applications
Designed specifically for applications requiring stud installation close to a bend or the edge of a panel, the new range of NFHL self-clinching reduced flush head studs now available from Northern Precision , the independent market-leading single-source supplier of fastenings as well as special-purpose turned and cold-formed parts, provide strong torque resistant captivated male threads in thin panels. Available in steel and stainless steel in M2.5-M5 thread sizes, and designed for use on 1 mm to 2.41 mm thick panels, type NFH flush head clinch studs install fully flush on the back of panels so minimal surface finishing is required after installation.
The special castellated clinch feature provides excellent torque out and push out resistance.
